Hill Country Alpacas is located near the Texas Hill Country town of Medina, about an hour northwest of San Antonio, between Kerrville and Bandera. We are long-time breeders of champion huacaya alpacas from award winning bloodlines. We have slowed down our pace a bit, but the herd still roams our pastures and provides their annual harvest of fiber.
A few years ago, Hill Country Alpacas was featured as a segment on Texas Country Reporter. Our thanks to Bob Phillips, Ryan Britt, and Dan Stricklin for producing this segment that hightlights our little piece of Texas.
The program originally aired in February and March, 2010. Unfortunately the day of filming was drizzly and the alpaca are looking a little on the damp side. They look better dry, but don't we all?
